About Utkarsh Sanjanwala
Utkarsh Sanjanwala will be assisting Swamiji and also teaching in the program. Utkarsh is an experienced Yoga Master from India and a direct disciple of Sri Swami Vidyanand. Utkarsh brought the teachings of Transformational Yoga – a practice founded on the philosophy of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, to New Zealand in 2015. He currently lives and works in Auckland, sharing the teachings of authentic Indian Yoga with yogis from across the globe.
Though primarily a Yoga Teacher & Therapist, he is also a painter, photographer, graphic designer, writer and a musician whose life got transformed when he got introduced to Yoga. In 2008, he began to explore the traditional Yoga. Soon after, he quit his corporate job to fully explore yoga as a subject as well as a spiritual path and way of living. He apprenticed for many years under teachers in the Bihar Yoga (Satyananda) tradition before he met Swamiji in Auroville. He is the Director for Swamiji’s School in New Zealand and also Administrative Director for Meditation Alliance International, SriMa International School of Transformational Yoga, India and Yoga Alliance Europe News.
