After living and working in marketing in different parts of the world,  Katie decided to leave the routine of 9 to 5 and go deeper into her yoga practice. Since training as a Yoga Instructor in Rishikesh, India, she recently returned home to Aotearoa to learn te reo Maori and teach yoga in a rural community in the far north. Now, coordinating the Yoga Teacher Training programmes held at Kawai Purapura, Katie uses yoga as a daily tool to enliven and enrich her work, relationships and life.


Evening Flow Yoga with Katie

Join me on the mat for a fun evening flow class to lift your energy levels after a day at your desk.

Depending on how people are feeling we’ll take it slow, smooth and gentle to stretch out our muscles, or we’ll fire things up Vinyasa style to bring some dynamic movement back to our bodies.

Free Slow Flow

(every Friday morning  7:00 am – 8:00 am)

Slow flow is a type of Vinyasa which brings the element of time into the practice allowing beginners to create their own synchronized dance, while learning poses and how to move, breathe, and stretch between postures. Katie teaches dynamic slow flow classes focusing on correct postural alignment with body and breath awareness, giving the opportunity to create a space for self-acceptance and at the same time the chance for students to find and explore their own edge. Slow flowing Vinyasa is a wonderful practice in discovering one’s personal limitations and learning how to move past those limitations. Namaste!
