The traditional hatha practices of asana, pranayama and meditation are a proven system that opens the body, frees the breath, reveals the contents of your mind and silences the ego, giving you the gift of self-awareness. Tantric practices like kumbhaka, bandha, mudra, mantra and kriya are a set of precise tweaks that bring forth complete illumination of the self. Together they are tantric hatha. This is the subtle refinement of the yoga practices we already know. This system deals primarily in energetics and yet the beauty of this practice lies in its practicality. Rather than tucking ourselves away to devote ourselves to spirituality, tantra insists that we empower ourselves, illuminate our lives and thrive! Taken with dedication, tantric hatha is a stable, sustainable transformation modality that has a lasting effect.
It is this concept that fascinated Amy Bassett (www.jaiyoga.com.au), and through her explorations into tantric hatha, she is now a Senior Graduate of world-class school, The Practice in Bali. Amy dedicates her life to giving both students and teachers a solid format for energetic exploration and to sharing these teachings that brighten the light of self-knowledge.
Thogether with the 150 hours module “Yoga Nidra & Restorative Yoga” this training builds up to the RYT500 registration with Yoga Alliance U.S.
