The Green Tara Initiation and retreat helps us to awaken the innate seeds of wisdom and compassion from within. The weekend will impart powerful tools which through guided meditations, teachings and discussions.
Geshe Gyalten will offer a Green Tara Initiation (empowerment), then lead a two day retreat according to “Action Tantra” of Tibetan Buddhism. In this wonderful weekend he will give a detailed explanation on the practice of Buddha Tara, the benefits of the practice, and how it helps remover both inner and outer obstacles in our lives. The weekend will include guided meditations, visualizations, and mantra recitation. There will also be a meditation on the deity of emptiness, which is the ultimate essence of all existence.

Benefits of this practice:
Green Tara in particular, has the power to help remove both inner and outer obstacles, that prevent our true and innate wisdom, free from suffering from within. The practice helps us to remove the eight fears, the dangers that come from ignorance, attachment, anger, pride, jealousy, miserliness, doubt and wrong views. The main causes of suffering being disturbing thoughts.
About the initiation:
Geshe Gyalten will offer the green Tara initiation/empowerment on the Friday evening. The empowerment gives you permission to do the full practice (which provides maximum benefit) and helps to open your heart further to the wonderful qualities of this deity (love, compassion and wisdom). There is no need to have any previous experience or to have taken refuge (be a Buddhist) to attend. You will still receive a blessing.
About the Teacher:
Geshe Gyalten, is a Tibetan Buddhist Scholar, Monk, Meditator & Tantric Practitioner. He founded Awakening Vajra International, A global organization, with His Teacher and Guru His Emminence Choden Rinpoche. He received the Geshe Degree in 2005 after 18 years of intense study and practice and now teaches globally. Geshe Gyalten speaks Tibetan, Hindi, Chinese and English fluently. The warmth of his smile and humour has touched the hearts of thousands.
